I think he is still in some contact with Merlyna, just to make sure that she yet lives, and other people from Hereford that now run with the Wolves, but the actions of them and some of his Campbell kin in Scotland bother him, I know. He has moved to Birmingham, even, and we are a town of known loyalists; me, Salter, Viktor here, and Collen, and many others less well known. He thought he would feel more at home there, perhaps.

I have had much happen that has eroded my capacity for trust, and yet him I trust. I will send your good wishes to him, surely. "

Viktor returns with a his last jug of fine Scotch Whiskey and sets it at the table where Lady Desi and the General are conversing, clearly wanting to catch up on old times but not willing to interrupt. Stepping back, he waits and watches the conversation, hoping he will hear more details of her recent events.

"Oh, none of that for me Viktor.... I get a bit silly after whisky. Well striped I see, you must be doing your duties well. I always knew you would, when you were a lad new to Birmingham..."

M'lady what A pleasure it is to meet you.

Holding out my right hand offering it too Her, offering Hers back I clasp it lightly underneath her fingers and lean forward to kiss her forehand. Turning to the Gen I say.

Gen Elson I must travel with you more, It seems you have a penchant for attracting beautiful woman. Here with your lovely wife Tastie and these other lovely ladies Aiiane and Desi.

Still holding M'lady's hand I lightly move my other hand to ours still joined giving A soft squeeze and letting go.

M'lady, Desi, Please feel free to call on me, A friend of the General is A friend I would offer any assistance too.

Sanja stood amongs the other soldiers through the whole ceremony. She applauded with a wide smile when promotions were announced. They all deserved it.

After the speaches were over, she went to get herself a drink...

Entering the back door of the KoP headquarters making his way through the kitchen to the ball, checking on the food and seeing a good kitchen run well he smiles and bows to the master chef, sneaking a quick swipe of frosting from a cake on the way through.

Moving in the shadows not to disturb the ceremony to get a glass of ale and sit in an empty table, looking around the room he feels right at home, and yet is sad.

Helius's name is called out and Bigg, pounds his hand on the table in cheer "Huzzah" for his brother, and all of his fellow comrades.

From all the pounding he almost tipped his ale over. Going for another ale after the ceremony, making his way to where Aisafe was charming Lady Desi, chuckling he thought to himself better grab one for Aisafe as well.

Caught off guard he notices Sanja! He puts the ale down and gives her a great big Biggie style hug. "Sanj! It has been so long since I have seen you, I have missed your presence" he chuckles handing her the extra mug of ale. He raises his glass to her.

Sanja notices Big approaching. She smiles and hugs him back "I missed you all as well. How are you? And where's Helius? Haven't seen him for some time" she accepts the ale he offered her "Cheers!"

The hall was full with knights from the four corners of England gallant and brave all of them, laughter, music and quite a bit of drinking too as it seemed...
Helius was indulging in his ... Well let's say another mug of ale whislt joking with the lads when out of the corner of his eye he saw biggie hugging someone...
He suddenly forget what the conversation was about ... As he abruptly stood up and moved towards biggie and her...

Loyal Knight to England

Out of the corner of his eye he catches Helius trying to make his way through the crowd towards them he puts his arm around Sanj and starts to walk in the opposite direction from his brother with Sanj under his arm.

"Sanj have you toured the castle yet? Quite elaborate it is. Come with me and see it?" Trying not to burst out laughing seeing how far his brother will go to chase them down, they start to towards the main corridor.

Biggie is cracking up inside, but keeping his cool talking to Sanj.

Viktor smiles as he gets a chance to talk, and as he begins, his East European accent is more and more evident.

"Viktor is not so big bad soldier, but lots of time now going with armies to hunt thieves and traitors. One even tried to use courts to get Viktor in trouble for saying something."

Viktor recounts his Cornwall experience, sitting in the tavern too long and missing one unit as they headed out to battle, then falling asleep in a wagon in a caravan, only to find himself going the wrong direction, then travelling with the army for a while, then finding that the very villains they were hunting were being admitted into the army that was hunting them...
Then coming home to find they had been kicked out, but still have to defend the walls, then off to another town and back for Stafford Guard, then to the point of whacking a would-be rebel-without-a-clue in the head with his staff, at which point Desi realizes he has indeed found (and remembered how to use) his mug.

"It is good life, yes?"

She felt there was something fishy about Biggies behaviour...he kept on talking and took her to see the castle. She was confused and she kept turning around trying to figure out what's goin' on. Then she spoted Helius in the crowd trying to reach them...She turned to Biggie and said with laughter "Ohh you! Is that a way to treat your brother?" She ran toward Helius, hugged him tight and kissed him "Missed you, it's been a long time since I saw you...how are you?"

Helius saw Biggie leading Sanja off...
He chuckled half surprised half bothered and half happy (yes 3 halves ...what do you expect ?we've been drinking)
whats this boy up to now...?

Then he saw her turn and run to him , catching her nearly knocked him clear but he embraced her with joy, forgetting himself the surrondings and all others present kissed her sweetly...
he looked at her eyes searchingly...
Aye ...tis been too long m'love, I've been fine... and now much better...
and thyself?

Desi listens to Viktor's tale; he has had a more exciting time than she has at the border. But she never prays for interesting times.

"Viktor, gesticulating with that mug you must have spilled half your drink. Do you need some more?"
