Public apology

In response to the questions about NEA's recruitment practices, I made some very unprofessional posts and acted as though I had no respect for the ranks and experience of the leaders of the NEA, and such is not the case.

It is not professional to present the issue in the manner I did.

While I shall never cease to dispute the value of Wolves as fellow soldiers, as others have said, the NEA is the future of England's defense. I should be building it up rather than speaking in a manner that tends toward tearing it down.

I do not go so far as to say that the KoP should join the NEA outright rather than merely stand as support for and a co-defender with the NEA. I think we should work with NEA's leaders and help them develop a viable army to protect all our homes, one which is quick and deadly in its response to any threat, foreign or domestic.

I ask forgiveness for my misconduct and encourage all who read that thread not to respond as I did.

While I am not KoP myself, Viktor, when I was Mayoress of Birmingham I raised up the standard of the Birmingham Home Guard and you were there, and you gave it your all, and I nominated you for a medal for it, if I remember rightly. Having energy and zeal, and caring about the charge you have been given, is commendable. But learning to be calm before you speak is something that has to be learned also. I am famously not very good at it, which is probably why I am still Yeoman Squire in my own Knighthood. Twisted Evil

But a skill that is to be treasured is to know when one was wrong, and to have the courage to apologise publically.

I completely agree with your motives Vik, but you're right, sometimes making a big deal out of issues can just lead to more trouble. Its cool to see you have the guts to apologize when no apology was really needed.

A messenger arrives to deliver a note to the great knight known as Viktor. Folded in half and sealed with the wax of a lone tavern candle. A sprig of Lavender laid across. Once passing off the note he turned quickly and escorted heading back to his acting mayoress.

Sitting, listening to the kind words of those who know him, Viktor turns to a friend who helps him write (and read) letters, as he has not yet learned to do much more than scribble nearly intelligible collections of chicken-scratch that are supposed to be these strange characters which make up words.

"No, please tell her... Viktor never got to help His Royal Majesty. Viktor had to go elsewhere, on duty, but Viktor put out word to friends, who already knew anyway. Viktor is not great hero, just lost, lonely farm boy who did what anyone should do. Viktor's pen held too much poison against his own army. Viktor is afraid to show face in NEA for such ugliness he made. Knights of Phoenix have great friend in you. Keep faith, fight evil, stay alive. If Viktor can help, just send word."

Viktor's friend scrambles to keep up with his words, and seals them into a letter, which is promptly sent off.

I am the latest Earl Marshal of the NEA Victor I was given your name as a possible County Commander for the NEA. I would welcome you back. Do not fear to show your face in our ranks if you wish to participate.

We need all English of conscience to stand as one in the defence of our nation. I could use a soldier of your calibre.

Many mistakes have been made in the birthing of the NEA. Some hard words spoken on all sides. It is time to pass through that era and move on to create that which we all desire. An efficient and effective armed force to protect the national interest. One that can stand proudly beside the KoP.
