As Oric sits there and listens as his fellow Knights in arms get promos. He then gains excitment when his name is called out for promo to 1st Sgt. *solutes* salute

All the Generals, then takes a *deep bow*. "Thank you all very much."

As a freshly molded private of the KoP Bistro has never been to a grand event such as this. The banners and comradery is overwhelming. As the names are called for promotions by the great General Eleson, he can see the promoted knights beam with pride and a reserved demeanor.

I have made a wise choise to join with these brave men and women, I hope to prove myself to them and my country... We are strong, we are brave, and we are one...

Her mind had wandered far away; back to Stafford and her duties there, back to the College and all the incomplete work and duties neglected; to thoughs of friends and family now moved to Ireland; to a yearning that she could not put into words.

It was not until she heard "Major Gourounisios to Lieutenant Colonel" that her focus was brought back to the present place. She saw him upon the podium and could not contain the satisfied smile that graced her face. Walther's name was announced also was was Eruanne and her smiled widened.

The next name caused the smile to vanish, blood drained from her face as she felt as if another weight had been dropped upon her shoulders. 'Dear Lord, she thought, what ever had she done to deserve this? How had she managed to....', Aiiane's green eyes caught the gaze of a pair of brown ones watching her, the familar smirk appeared and vanished quickly, as though he could read her thoughts. Sometimes she had the most uncomfortable feeling that he could.

She quickly turned her attention back to General Elson and heard, "Private Zelana to Corporal." She smiled once again, for she and Lana had become good friends of late and she was proud for her.

He was still deeply in thought of where Teghanz had gone and why, but aftre hearing his name called to be promoted he could not help but grin. He was finally moving up!

As Slater hears his name being called to be promoted to Corporal he feels a sudden burst of pride and confidence, he has never felt before. He finally felt like he was a part of the KOP.

Knowing that promotion means greater risk, Viktor swallows hard. But oh, how proud Grandfather would have been! Alone, her bears his family's honor. Alone, he stands for his fallen parents, brothers and sisters. Unable to help them or the towns he fled in his childhood, unable to requite the tyrades of bullies and bandits he encountered along the way, he stands now, never to flee again, amidst this great host of valiant warriors, only hoping that one day he may measure up to the honor bestowed upon him. In his thick, East European accent, voice verging upon tears, he lifts his balalaika into the air, looks puzzled, then puts it down and raises his staff and shouts:

"Long live the King! Long live the Prince! Long live England!"

Horses were made ready, while the 1st and 2nd Platoons of the 7th Division of the National English Army stood near at hand as an honor guard, to pay homage to their prince, His Royal Highness, Prince Algernon, Regent of all the English. Also, members of the 7th were present to take part in rewarding those soldiers among the division who were brave Knights of the Phoenix that had long since heard a call to fight for their homeland in a combat unit of heavy armor.

As the other generals across the parade ground concluded, General Collen of Caen’s enigmatic gaze locked upon Lady Lydia as if by chance, yet his eyes never left her afterwards. There was something wanting here, something undone, yet it was not the girl’s spirit that was lost. Even as the man knew he should look away from Lydia for modesty’s sake, he had made no move to alter his burning stare when the maiden turned toward him once more. Rather than feeling abashed, a steady grin flashed across his handsome face as he drew nigh unto the woman.

‘Lydia,’ Collen began, yet the knight silently cursed his lack of courtesy so that he began the conversation anew, ‘Milady Morningstern, shall we marshal the troops before their prince?”

Lydia nods and gives a friendly, compliant smile.
He came toward her almost with some new purpose.
The way he said her name she...pays attention to subtleties.
His smile leaves him...so attractive.
Lydia reels in her thoughts and composes herself.

Offering the lady a hand to support her in mounting, the general continues to smile as he states, “Let us go before them.”

With a practiced ease, the noblewoman grasps Collen’s own hand and lightly steps up to mount her well bred steed, after the fashion of ladies on parade. Placing the reins in Baroness Armathwaite’s gloved hand, Sir Coll patted the neck of the maiden’s fine horse, whispered a word that only the lady and her mount could hear, and with a tigerish grin, strode to his own stallion’s left. Once in the saddle, the knight turned to the lady, tied a rich strip of blue silk around his sword arm, and gave a broad wink to the noblewoman. As the pair of officers and knights, lady and man, advanced their horses at a walk, Sir Coll drew his long, glittering blade and turned to Lady Lydia. With a smile, the knight raised the mighty sword of his fathers and rode the line of his assembled platoons, left to right, with the lady Lydia ever guarding his left. This was reminiscent of so many encounters, dangers, and battles; the division gave a cheer when they heard the names of the brave called out as the ceremony on the distant stage concluded.

At the division’s far right, Coll turned to Lydia and said, “Lady, you have made Captain among our worthy Knights of the Phoenix, and only Earls and Field Marshals rank you in the 7th. Well done, you’ve earned this by your blood in combat.”

Pinkcoat heard his name and that he had been promoted for Master Sergeant. "Wow! Didn't see that one coming!"

Walther salutes the podium, especially his former CC, then joins the cheering for all the promoted and the the KoP in general, broadly smiling at his Stafford friends - it's great to part of such a fine community - catching the gaze of one of them, a fellow Councilor and good friend, and more than a friend, roguishly winking at her.
